Purpose
The purpose of this course is to enable you to handle occupational safety and health tasks and to learn how to work systematically with safety and health at work.
Content
The contents of the course are based on a high degree of active participation including group work, exchanging experience, shared debates, and presentations by the teacher.
The course includes the following topics:
- What is occupational safety and health?
- Safety and health legislation
- Responsibilities, rights, duties and tasks according to law
- The safety organization and its tasks
- Cooperation between the safety groups and the safety and health committee
- Communication and cooperation
- A model to solve problems
- What characterizes a good, efficient and systematic approach to safety and health?
- Work Place Assessment (WPA)
- Safety awareness
- Work-related injuries and near-miss incidents
- Psychological working environment
- Players in the safety and health field
- Where to get assistance, information and new knowledge?
- How can you affect attitudes and develop safety and health at work?
Duration
The course takes 3 days, each from 8.15 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. and is divided into two parts.
The first part lasts two days. The second part of the course is lasting only one day and will normally be held a week after the first part. In the period between the two parts you have to work on a practical assignment at your workplace – in cooperation with your partner in the safety and health group.
Course certificate
You will receive a certificate when you have completed the course. Presence during the entire course is mandatory. The certificate will be sent to you employer who must keep it. The Danish Working Environment Authority (WEA) can demand to see proof that the course has been completed.
Intermission
Normally you will be part of the same class during the entire course. In case you are unable to complete the course, please contact DA arbejdsmiljøuddannelse as quickly as possible in order to discuss the possibilities of participanting another class for the remaining time. Please notice we charge you if you want to transfer to another course. The price is depending on when in the course the transfer occurs.
